A lifelong storyteller, Lance signed with Yaoi-Revolution in 2014 to publish Outwards, his first dystopian MM comic series. The comic is published in Europe and translated into three languages. He also works as a full-time character and cover artist, but his head never stops churning with new ideas for his own writing projects.

A lover of dark fiction, Lance credits Stephen King, Suzanne Collins, William Golding, and George R.R. Martin for his foray into dark themes, supernatural stories, morally grey characters, and questions about religious and moral differences. Never without a healthy heaping of spice, Lance’s stories revel in the complicated and twisted—the past resurfacing as a noose around the neck, or the future casting a dark shadow on the present. His favourite theme, however, is time. Like a child shaking an hourglass, Lance enjoys meddling, contouring, and subverting time.

His debut dark academia horror novel, Prima Materia, is slated for release in late 2025 with his dystopian SFF novel, Posthuman, scheduled for 2026. You can find Lance on Instagram, Threads, and TikTok. 

Lance W. Bones is an Italian LGBTQIA+ illustrator by day and author of dark fantasy, dystopian, and supernatural fiction by night. He takes pride in crafting authentic, complex, and nuanced LGBTQIA+ and neurodivergent representation. With a degree in Arts, Music, and Entertainment from the University of Bologna, he cut his teeth in video editing, but his true passion lies in comics, esotericism, and metal music.
