A lifelong storyteller, Lance signed with Yaoi-Revolution in 2014 to publish Outwards, his first dystopian MM comic series. The comic is published in Europe and translated into three languages. He also works full-time as a character and cover artist, but his head never stops churning with new ideas for his own writing projects.

A lover of dark fiction, Lance credits Stephen King, Suzanne Collins, Margaret Atwood, and George R.R. Martin for inspiring his exploration of dark themes, including supernatural and dystopian stories, morally gray characters, and questions about religious and ethical struggles. 
Never without a healthy heaping of spice, Lance’s stories revel in the complicated and twisted—the past resurfacing as a noose around the neck or the future casting a dark shadow over the present. 

The first book of his dark academia series about Alchemy, Prima Materia—On Matter & Decay, was released in late 2025, with its sequel scheduled for the end of 2026. Lance is currently working on a spin-off of Prima Materia set three thousand years before the main story, and his dystopian SFF novel, Posthuman, is in the works for release afterward.

Lance W. Bones is an Italian LGBTQIA+ illustrator by day and a dark fantasy, dystopian, and supernatural fiction author by night.

With a degree in Arts, Music, and Entertainment from the University of Bologna, he cut his teeth in video editing, but his true passions lie in comics, esotericism, and metal music.
